Throughout the day, focus will be placed on the expectations of governing agencies. By following a “resident” through their placement at a nursing home, you will be able to identify what is required of your position, and complete the necessary documentation.
Special attention will be placed on the Social Service Department’s role in the assessment process, including the completion of the MDS and RAP summaries. An in-depth discussion will allow the social service staff to not only understand, but also have confidence in their ability to work with the comprehensive assessment process.
Emphasis will be placed on the roles and responsibilities of the social service department in a long term care facility. Ideas on how to handle these roles will be explored.
Please contact the office for information regarding training in this area, we also have this available for online viewing.
